يحتفل الشعب الروسى بعيد “ماسلينيتسا” الشعبى القديم اليوم الأحد، وذلك فى تقليد سنوى مرح تتخلله الرقصات والأغانى الشعبية وإعداد الفطائر المحلاة، وينتهى بحرق فزاعة من القش لإبعاد الشرعن البلاد والعباد حسب عقيدتهم.
ويعتبر “الماسلينيتسا” أو أسبوع المرافع، أحد الأعياد الشعبية المميزة التى تحتفل بها روسيا على خلفية التقاليد السلافية الشرقية القديمة، حيث تبدأ الاحتفالات بمناسبة انتهاء الشتاء القارس واستقبال الربيع بالفرح والتنزه والأنشطة المختلفة.
ويقوم الأهالى بتحضير البلينى التى تعتبر أهم رمز للماسلينيتسا، وهى فطائر رقيقة من العجين مستديرة ذهبية تتفنن النساء فى إعداد حشواتها، وذلك وفقا لتقاليد العيد لديهم.
كما يستمر ذلك الاحتفال بعيد الماسلينيتسا لمدة أسبوع كامل ابتدا من 12 فبراير وحتى 18فبراير لهذا العام، وسيخصص أكثر من عشرين ساحة للاحتفال بطقوس العيد فى موسكو.
